Serious Injury in the Community

As native Alabama residents, the partners of Serious Injury Law Group are deeply committed to the community.

The Serious Injury Law Group was established by Chuck James and Gerald Brooks, two lifelong Alabama residents who share the mission of protecting the rights of accident victims. As lawyers, they understand how they can make a difference in the lives of others, which is a guiding principle in all they do. In addition to zealously representing clients inside and outside the courtroom, the team at Serious Injury Law Group helps communities in Lowndes County, Birmingham, Mobile, and Montgomery, Alabama, through civic work and donations to worthy causes that are designed to help our community thrive.

How Serious Injury Law Group Gets Involved

At Serious Injury Law Group, we show that we are serious about the law and about the communities we serve. Our team is actively supporting schools, social causes, and local organizations that share our mission to make Alabama the best place to live.

As local residents, we understand the importance of providing quality education to our youth, so we have set up the Serious Injury Law Group scholarship and award. Through this fund, we have awarded up to $100,000 in scholarships. Most recently, we responded to the COVID-19 crisis by offering scholarships to students who have shown great academic improvement.

Causes We Support

In addition to the projects listed above, Serious Injury Law Group supports the community through monetary donations and sponsorships. Our firm is committed to giving back and has made donations over the years to the following organizations:
