As native Alabama residents, the partners of Serious Injury Law Group are deeply committed to the community. Our locally owned firm in Montgomery, AL was established by Chuck James and Gerald Brooks, two lifelong Alabama residents who share the mission of protecting the rights of accident victims. How Serious Injury Law Group Gets Involved
At Serious Injury Law Group, we show that we are serious about the law and about the Montgomery community. Our team is active in the local community, supporting schools, social causes, and local organizations who share our mission to make Montgomery, AL the best place to live.
As local residents of Montgomery, AL, we understand the importance of providing a quality education to our youth, so we have set up the Serious Injury Law Group and Award. Through this fund, we have previously awarded up to $12,000 in annual scholarships in essay contests for Black Belt High School students. Most recently, we responded to the COVID-19 crisis by offering 15 scholarships to high school seniors who show promise in their educational commitment and 25 scholarships to middle and high school students who have shown great academic improvement.
In addition to the projects listed above, Serious Injury Law Group supports the community through monetary donations and sponsorships. Our firm is committed to giving back and has made donations over the years to the following organizations: Sidney Lanier High School, Alabama State University’s General Fund, Alabama State University’s Football program, and Alabama State University’s Track and Field programs, Tuskegee University, Robert E. Lee High School, That’s My Child, Central High School-Lowndes County, Alpha Phi Alpha MLK Scholarship (Montgomery, Alabama), Vigor High School (Prichard, Alabama), Dutchess Divas and Gents Youth Club, and Success By Six (Montgomery Family Guidance Center).

We have also been involved with other social causes, including: Perfect Note, Minority Black Business Award, Teen-to-Work, STREAM Innovations, Gulf Coast Challenge, Frank S. James II Award, Doubletree Downtown (Cocktails and Candy Canes), and Vulcan Magical Nights.
